Roy's - San Francisco

So glad they were open and I could eat again in my favorite restaurant.

It was a slow night because the COVID-19 stay at home orders, but we wanted to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. we are very happy that we have chosen roys sf. we have a beautiful window seat, as it is desired on the rest area open table. roy has placed a beautiful map on the table that congratulates us on our jubilee and gave us a free chocolate soap! so elegant! they had a nice 50% discount for a long list of crying on the bottle. we used the full. please go and serve them restaurants when they are healthy and have no high-risk family members to take care of them.

I ordered the seafood combination. it was listed as lobster, garnel and skallops. it came with a skalopp. When I asked only one, the waiter went and asked the cook and came back and said it was just one. no offer of a second. the restaurant was empty. it wouldn't have hurt to give me another. we paid over $100 per person. will not be in a hurry to go back. in general, eating was well prepared.

I have eaten at Roy's a number of times and it has always been excellent. The spareribs appetizer, which has always been superb was changed this time. Rather than being a spare-rib on the bone with sauce like spare-ribs are typically serviced, it was thinly sliced on the bone. There was little meat and sauce. I would not recommend the spare-rib appetizer. The rest of the meals were wonderful. I always order the chocolate lave cake!

Been to roy's on several occasions, always on point...nice, varied menu, great cocktails...we had a $40.00 voucher from roy's , so that made it even nicer....now we have a $50.00 voucher coming our way, so we'll definitely be coming back.....
