Was Coy Tran at Plouf a mag?
I had a great time at this restaurant's happy hour! The Plouf mussels were a standout dish - spicy, creamy, and packed with garlic. The $1 fresh raw oysters were a steal. The duck liver pate had a slightly sweet flavor, but the accoutrements balanced it out nicely. The shaved brussel sprouts were okay. The wine selection was great, with glasses ranging from $8 to $10. The service was friendly and attentive, and the r... View all feedback.

What Abel Runolfsdottir dislikes about Plouf:
I understand that they close, but they had no key elements available for their menu, they had a private party that was loud, and it took a while to serve us because we were hidden in a corner. It wasn't the way I wanted to remember my last meal in Plouf. It was really disappointing. View all feedback.

Great environment down in Belden Place great, if not overpriced, food. Had the hangar steak, coq au vin, and Caesar salad. The patio seating really makes the environment feel really special. Also great happy hour specials!

So so so good. In a town known for its seafood, Plouf stands above the tide in an especially unique way. The variety of preparations for mussels may seem daunting, but I would recommend merely picking one with the knowledge right now that it will be good, so much so that you will return and try another version in the future. Also, I was surprised to see that the actual menu in comparison to the website had more than just shellfish, so don't be daunted if mussels aren't your thing. But unless you have an allergy or are averse to eating meat, mussels will become your thing after dining here.
