I had not been to Pier 39 in years. In fact, I was looking for Dante's Seafood Catch but it no longer was there but Pier Market Seafood was an excellent replacement. I dined with a business colleague and we both loved the clan chowder in a bread bowl and mixed seafood grill the swordfish was excellent. View all feedback.
What Ransom Harris doesn't like about Pier Market Seafood Restaurant - Pier 39 SF:
We were meeting out of town friends. I asked for the quietest table possible with a view if possible. THAT didn't happen, but I was quite pleased with the food quality, given that we were on Pier 39. The swordfish was terrific. Our guests all seemed happy with their food. Was just sorry not to get a view for our friends who live in Arizona. View all feedback.
We ate here on the outside patio in the evening and it was wonderful. The drinks very good, and the food delicious. We made reservations and were sat immediately, and felt relaxed to just enjoy our meal and drinks...no rush to move on to get others in.
This is part of the pier 39 tourist trap. I wouldn't apply any of the restaurants here. I was surprised that this restaurant that claims to be a fish house would not have more variety. the only scallops were dim-sized deep fried. there is nothing big or fresh. there were others tormenting. it is not the best for fresh seafood, that is safe.
Went there while visiting San Francisco. Food was bland and tasteless. View was great, but that was about all.
Loved our server!!! Food was amazing. View was enchanting. Very happy with our choice.
