Was Tom Cox at Padrecito a mag?
I had the best chilaquilles in the world at this place, and the the tequila cocktail was a freaking religious experience. When I win the lottery and can afford to crash in a phone booth in San Francisco, I will eat here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Super nice staff, friendly, airy feel, reasonable pricing. What Buddy Volkman dislikes about Padrecito:
we went to Mother's Brunch. the service was pretty slow, but maybe they were overwhelmed. it's a big brunch day. the personal seemed to be angry. Maybe we were just ignored. churros from the hook good pancakes and chilaquiles: really good. I would go back. duck carnitas hash sounds better than it really is. the eggs and potato bits were good. the greens sucked up the whole salt sauce and exaggerated the entire dish. View all feedback.
We just moved into the neighborhood and went in for dinner on a Saturday evening.
We just had our staff holiday brunch here and I have to say we were blown away! The service was impeccable, the food authentic and exceptional, and they all
Pure deliciousness My friend made a reservation for us for Sunday brunchWe got there way too early and they sat us right away.
I'm saddened to learn that this restaurant has shut down. They offered the most delicious pork belly tacos and guacamole, along with great cocktails. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very calming. I hope they open a new location soon so they can keep serving their fantastic food and drinks.
The restaurant offers mediocre food served in small portions at high prices. However, the atmosphere is pleasant. My partner and I stopped by for dinner on a Wednesday evening during a neighborhood stroll. We tried the Padrecito cocktail for $13, the La Copa Verde cocktail for $14, Cod tacos for $17, Enchiladas de Res for $21, and Rice for $7. While these prices are typical for San Francisco, the portion sizes left much to be desired. The rice, priced at $7, was shockingly small. The enchiladas were also lackluster and expensive at $21. The cocktails, particularly the La Copa Verde, were delicious and the music played was enjoyable, featuring hits from the 90s and 2000s by artists like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Destinys Child. Overall, for a midweek night out, the dining experience was average at best. I would not recommend dining here on a weekday, but it might be worth a visit for happy hour.
