There were many servers working but not very attentive to our needs and was not happy to smell hooks inside the restaurant where I had brought my child. I will never go back. I did not read anywhere that there would be hook happening inside or I would not have gone. View all feedback.
My wife and I have been attending concerts in the Civic Center area for years, and hadn't seen the restaurant until last June.

I've been a fan of Mela Tandoori since its previous location in the Tenderloin. My friends and I enjoy the wide variety of choices, the quantity and quality of the food, and the great service. Its location within walking distance of Civic Center performance venues is also a plus. Parking along Golden Gate Avenue east of Van Ness Avenue has never been an issue for me. Mela is a great choice for delicious and healthy Indian cuisine!
We are locals. We are Punjabi. We came here Friday and Saturday. Dinner. Two nights in a row. That speaks for itself.
