Feedback
Maven offers a mix of reviews, ranging from disappointment to delight. One guest was frustrated by a limited and mismatched menu, as well as high wine prices. Another found the food mediocre, with a lack of options and underwhelming service. However, some diners were pleasantly surprised, enjoying delicious dishes like Brussels sprouts, fries, and eggs benedict. The ambiance and cocktails received praise, despite some issues like long wait times and mix-ups with drink orders. Overall, Maven seems to have its ups and downs, but is worth a visit for its creative cocktails and tasty dishes.
Great place. sad to see that it closes. cocktails were wonderful and eating was great.
We will miss you maven. Come back! only a note of the burger was almost rare when I asked for him.
I miss this place so great! great eating, friendly service and totally reasonable prices. a ability to indulge in the aftermath that are missed after the closure. I can only hope that they will open again elsewhere!
The food was so delicious, also loved the herbal tea and the chocolate mousse Dessert. The cocktails were delicious. The service was great. It's a little loud when the place is busy, and you really need to talk to have a conversation, but I didn't mind because my meal was so fabulous. The location is cool, in the lower haight, but parking can be a little difficult.
Delicious, balanced and creative cocktails. I only ate the duck-leber mouse, but that was good enough to come back and try more! It had a large smooth texture; the strawberry must have been mixed in the puree on the menu, it seemed to give a bit of sweetness that spoiled the earthiness of the liver. The accompanying roasted English muffins had a wealth of golden crumbles that supplement the liver until the point that a bite tasted a bit like a savory and sweet donut! Yum yum!
