The restaurant's ambiance is cozy and authentic, with a lovely back patio for a tranquil dining experience. Despite some inconsistencies in menu items and service, Mathilda remains a favorite for many patrons, with consistent quality in food and friendly service. Had a lovely dinner here, made reservations about a week in advance for the restaurant week pre fixe menu with a girlfriend. The back patio is well done and tranquil. The service felt quite authentic, and the food was quite great. I waslooking to order a second glass of wine and wasn’t able to get the servers attention until we were finished with our entrees, which was a bit unfortunate. Even so I’d like to come back for the regular menu.
Delicious meal, reminds us of a recent visit to Paris. Authentic. Prawns appetizer was quite tasty. We will be back!
We celebrated my daughter’s birthday with a party of 8. The menu was great and had something for everyone. Each course was well prepared with generous portions. Several of the diners had two appetizers instead of an entree. The service wasparticularly good. We never felt rushed, bread and water was replenished frequent, and we felt very cared for. We’ve eaten atMathilde several times before Covid. Unlike other restaurants there service has only got better.
I am from the bayou of Louisiana. This French restaurant reminds me of home. In this huge city I could not image such a sophisticated French restaurant. I normally take more pictures of my food, but I was just lost in the moment with my husband. This chef was spot on. My night was magical. If you dine at night, it is so romantic. So, make sure to dress up! I can not waitto return to the city but this time I hope to meet the chef.
Tres Bonne! Such a lovely meal. Had the Tiger prawns which tasted like pepperoni and small but super delicious escargot. Lovely bread was served and deliciously enjoyed the rest of the garlic butter from the escargot. Then followed with some flank steakand their special ribeye both were so flavorful and throughly enjoyed. Cant wait to go back and try the fish it smelled so tastyfrom the table next to ours. Merci beaucoup Mathilde!
