They are clearly understaffed so orders take a while and water refllls. etc must be asked for.Food was good but not exceptional. Modern minimalist decor is pleasant ad unless there is a nosiy crowd at bar noise level in restaurant was fine.
Menu was limited. Restaurant was empty on a Saturday night. Restaurant is next to hotel check in but the soup of the day was fabulous. Steak and fries great. The panna cotta was fabulous
Breakfast was good ms the wait staff were friendly and fast. Nice atmosphere.
We were there on Christmas day for dinner. While all the other restaurants in the Union Square area of San Francisco were filled to capacity, this was only half full. Perhaps because of the $85. prix fixe menu for the holiday. Was a bit pricey for the 3 course meals (with wine pairings $125! But for a Christmas celebration in The City, we were happy.
Very good service, great way to spend time on rainy night before play at SF Playhouse. Great location for this.
