I have been a fan of this restaurant for many years. There is nothing quite like schnitzel and beer. It can get very noisy on Friday and Saturday evenings, so we usually try to avoid those times. The food is delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The staff is always friendly and efficient. They have a great selection of beers, including a tasty IPA. Definitely recommend checking it out! What Osborne Effertz doesn't like about Leopold's SF:
The food was just ... bad. I had chili relleno, a steak taco, and a chicken enchilada and all three were bad. The passion fruit margarita was fantastic. Wonderful German food and German beer--love this place in the heart of vibrant Russian Hill. Come and be happy with delicious food and beer. Everything is great.
We had a great time at Leopold's. We got seated right away, the beer and food was fantastic. Although very loud, it was what we were expecting.
We had a large group but were seated so we could all talk and catch up. The food was great! We will definitely be coming back soon.
We love Leopold's. My 12 year old daughter picked it as her post recital dinner. Great atmosphere and we all love the food. The beers are fantastic as well.
