Hyde Street Seafood House - San Andreas

Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Overall: Standard fare. Not a bad place if you don’t want to grab a bite. Would I come back: I would if someone wanted to go there. The extended review… Food: Cesar Salad 3/5 Standard fare. The two person was a decent portion. King Salmon en Papillotte 3/5 Pretty standard fare. I’d probably say I could easily make this at home. Service: 4/5 Friendly and attentive service. Ambiance: 3/5 We dined outside which was nice. The interior seemed a little dark.

What i wrote to the restaurant. Why is the restaurant next to you (Cocotte full when you are half empty? Because, while mostly good food, no decent heating outside, bad wine glasses that only old-fashioned, mediocre restaurants use, and what is with the crab cakes?? mostly breadcrumbs with no taste of crab??!! The response to our dissatisfaction "We have been serving it for years and all our patrons like it Not a good response, especially when the restaurant is less than full. And the key lime pie - should be much lighter. Anyway you are very nice but if you want to make more people happy and make more money, do not be so cheap. Do things right and it will pay off for you

Last night was the first time we’ve dined at the Hyde Street Seafood Restaurant in years. It’s not that we avoided it. We have not visited San Francisco in years too. It did not disappoint. The same great chef and the same great food even after all of these years. We won’t wait this long before returning. Thanks for a great meal

We arrived early and were given the option to dine indoors or out. We chose inside. We were seated immediately by the very gracious hostess who also turned out to be our server. She was knowledgeable about the menu and made helpful suggestions. Everyone in our party was very impressed with the quality of the food. When we re-visit SFO, we will definitely return
