Chocolate délice with salty butter was so mild in flavor as to be skippable. Overall good place with really nice, friendly staff.

I was walking by, and totally spur of the moment like, saw a menu and decided I had to stop by and try one of their simple crepes (the butter, sugar and lemon juice one . After eating one of those, which was one of the greatest crepes I 'd had (beaten really only by some crepes I had at a street vendor in the middle of Paris, France , and one of the cheapest (3.50 , I was sad that we had dinner plans, or I would 've tried a couple more. I can usually tell when a place is cheap because it scrimps on quality, or just cheap because it wants the customers, and this place was totally the latter. I didn 't experience any problems with service, either yes, this is a hole in the wall where service is 'you order at the front, then pick up your own food when it 's ready ', but nobody was rude or anything, and it was ready freaking quickly. I would totally come back here any time I was at all nearby, as I would like to try a number of their other offerings at that price. (Maybe their savory crepes aren 't as good? I dunno.

I waited for a good 15 m... read more The Chatelet: A chocolate delice with salty butter and bananas crepe caught my attention and there was no express service what so ever. I waited for a good 15 mins when the cashier told me it would be 2 mins. Thankfully the chatelet was the most delicious crepe I've ever had! I could have devoured two in one sitting.

Con: The takeout packed as a cone ice cream which was rather inconvenient to carry along with you.
