Great, intimate culinary experience. A few absolute standout dishes. The best lamb I ever had. Buttermilk ice cream and roasted oats was a surprisingly fulfilling dish.

TLDR: For the same price, I’d recommend Quince or Saison. Food was great, albeit in my opinion with a little less character than the “art gallery rustic farm table” of Saison. Service was good, but pales in comparison with the nearby truly phenomenal service of Quince (which has a modern European elegance). Was still a wonderful experience, but at this level I think there’s a lot that’s just personal preference. Great seafood dishes, that was a highlight. I will say that I think the music choice was in poor taste. With this kind of ambience you’d expect something more subdued and sophisticated (I was hearing classic rock).

Delicious and every dish was well thought out. Courses consisted of mainly seafood harvested from local areas. Pre fixe menu only. Tea pairing goes nicely with meal.

It's such a disappointment to write this review. I've been looking forward to coming here for quite a while and I wish I came here under the old executive chef. Had an appointment at 8:30 the day before Valentine's day. We arrived about 5 minutes earlyand they seemed confused by our reservation. We also had to flag someone down to let them know that we were here. There wereonly two other couples in the dining room and three open tables. Only one dish stood out and everything else was very bland.Knowing that Coi was previously a three-star demoted to a two-star I still had high expectations regardless of all of thenegative comments. The food was nothing like they have on their website or their Instagram It was very simple very basic nothingthat screamed Michelin star. We did the wine pairing It was definitely enough wine to split one pairing for two people if thatwas an option. Both tables around us got to thank you gift of beat gummy bears and what looked like a little toffee. I wasdisappointed we did not get anything. At the end of the night our tasting came to $1,300 and for the experience it wasdefinitely not worth it and I'd have taken my money and gone to a better restaurant. Like I said Coi has been on my top list fora really long time and right now is just not worth it until something changes.
