While some criticize the lack of balance in the menu and overbearing flavors, others praise the ambiance, friendly staff, and delicious food. Concerns about temperature inside are countered by positive comments on the atmosphere. Overall, the experience seems inconsistent, with some diners enjoying their meals and service, while others felt underwhelmed and unlikely to return. Reservations recommended due to high demand. Pricey but worth it for the ambiance and delicious offerings, especially for those looking for a buzzy and festive dining experience.
As far as Italian restaurants in the US go, this is one of the best i’ve been to if you’re not looking for 100% nonna’s kitchen authenticity. the ingredients are extremely fresh, flavorful, and high-quality, and the dishes offer a California farmer’s market twist on classical Italian traditions.
Very good food and first class service I recommend it
Yes. The answer is yes. The cooking is perfection. The flavors are so well balanced, fresh and present. Had a lovely meal and can’t wait to return again.
Converted auto body shop turned into one of the hottest ticket in town. Hip, airy, buzzing, urban vibe with great views over Divisadero. Able to get seats right away at 6pm on Friday at the bar. Had to wait a bit for drinks and food but everything was good if not mind-blowing. Bartender wisely suggested half orders of pasta when we (2 of us) tried to order salad, 2 pastas AND pizza Pizza thicker/more doughy and a lot smaller than Ragazza/Gialina. So maybe not the best value but overall fun (but pricey) experience.
Great date night. The staff are kind, professional and concerned. Best scampi ever and spinach lasagne is that good
