Steak was excellent. A bit disappointing with the soup. I have had French onion soup all over the world including France and this wasn't great. Very good but not matched with the price. And a bit loud.
The exorbitant price of the meal was not justified by its quality. I had anticipated a culinary experience comparable to the finest I had encountered in Paris, but instead, the meal was far inferior and would have been more appropriately priced at half the cost.
This French restaurant is a true culinary haven. The service was impeccable, with a knowledgeable and friendly staff who made us feel right at home. The food was a gastronomic delight from escargot to crème brûlée, each dish was a masterpiece. The ambiance exuded a charming, old world French charm, and the wine selection was outstanding. I left with a full belly and a happy heart.
Came to celebrate our anniversary here on a Sunday night. The waitstaff was super friendly and attentive, I can’t say enough good things about how great the staff was. Unfortunately the food was just ok. We order oysters and the 3 course meal. Theescargot and the salmon trio were good, though nothing stood out as amazing. The fresh bread was great. The crust was so crunchyand the inside was steamy and fluffy. We paid extra for the filet, which was cooked perfectly medium rare. Unfortunately theduck confer cassoulet was dry and not very flavorful. Desserts were good but you can’t really go wrong with crèmebrûlée. For $65, the 3 course was definitely worth it. I would come back here again if I’m ever in the mood for French food.
Best French restaurant in San Francisco- An authentic, sophisticated French restaurant with absolutely savory and delicious food. Pictured are the dishes we had- Hors d'oeuvre- Trio of Salmon and Salade Landaise, both perfectly executed-the frisee wasseasoned wonderfully and the Trio of Salmon was the best salmon tartare I have ever had- it included gravlax and salmon roesalong with roasted capers, egg crumbles and cream fraiche. Plat Principal: Toulouse style cassoulet with duck confit andmushroom risotto, both were fantastic and cooked to perfection. Dessert: We both had the profiteroles, easily one of thetastiest desserts I have ever had, perfectly executed, not overly sweet, highly satisfying.
