Feedback
Alioto's is a classic San Francisco restaurant with great views and excellent service. The crab cakes are standout and the Bouillabaisse is a must-try. The halibut is average, but the lobster ravioli and calamari are delicious. The restaurant can get busy, so reservations are recommended. The fried calamari, clam chowder, and seafood risotto are also highlights. The staff is friendly and accommodating, even handling a difficult situation gracefully. Overall, Alioto's offers a taste of old-school charm and quality dining in a beautiful setting by the bay.
Excellent service and the food was phenomenal! For a restaurant in a tourist area, it was well worth the price
Restaurant is a bit tired, had a very loud party opposite us.Don't understand why American restaurants don't give time between appetisers and entrée
I had fried calamai. It was nicely done. My wife had halibut that was expensive but looked dry, was dry and perhaps had been in the freezer for a long time. The restaurant apologized and brought another piece of fish but it was the same texture, somewhat tasteless and shouldn't have been at that price.
This restaurant offers a wonderful variety of Italian dishes, with the added bonus of a waterfront location. The meals are flavorful and the desserts are decadent, so be prepared to indulge. It can get busy, so reservations are recommended, and parking may be difficult. However, the overall dining experience is worth it. Don't miss out on their chocolate cake for a perfect ending to your meal.
