We sat outside, the heating made it very cozy. it's loud, but we enjoyed it as part of the night life of the city around us. the food was excellent, I had the kicherbsburger and my partner chose the lammschellen.
Years ago I had a really nice brunch at aliment, so I thought I would try the dinner. it is still a nice place to look at, but eating was sadly subpar. I had the fried huh. the crust was far over boiled and dry, the mac and cheese beside dish was tiny, and the calf was wet and tasteless. insulting to injuries came two drinks and a terrible chicken dinner at $90 after controlling and never tip.
A small group of us popped in for dinner before seeing a show at The Curran Theatre, which is just 3 blocks away. The restaurant is small and very charming. The food is truly superb. I ordered a grilled Porkchop over mashed yams and it was out of this world. This restaurant is especially good if you have dietary restrictions. My wife has very complex restrictions and most of their menu is either already vegan/gluten-free or they can easily accommodate changes. We're looking forward to another visit.
We only went for dessert and a drink but Yummy bread pudding and excellent service. Nice wine and cocktail list. Michelin Guide Recommended. Wish I could try those scallops but they weren't on current menu. From the bar, you watch the chefs cook. Upstairs dining area a bit more private. Would be a great spot for a date!
