Putin Plus - Salt Spring Island

Hands down the best restaurant experience I've ever had.

We really enjoy the Willows, we've been twiceIts a great place to get away and hit the reset button.

I dislike leaving negative reviews but feel that The Willows doesn't deliver the kind of service I expectThe food is good, yes.

The last time I was in the cottage, I saw the poutine truck and noticed an "Eggs Benny Poutine" that I knew I had to try next time. Well, that next time finally arrived and I went to the breakfast spot, only to find out they open at noon. Brunch it is then! It was definitely worth the wait. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the cheese and hollandaise sauce were plentiful, and the bacon was delicious. Who knew adding benny to hash browns could be so good? I'm not sure why I've never seen this before, but I will definitely be indulging here again. The cottage gives this poutine two thumbs up!

I wanted to place a large food order, but when I arrived at the restaurant, the woman informed me three times that they were not yet open and would not be open for a few more minutes. Despite her terse manner, I patiently waited for them to open.
