We ordered a Chicago dog and a New York dog, both of which were delicious. When we ordered the veggie dog, the cashier asked if we wanted butter on our bun, showing that they are aware of customers who prefer not to have dairy. The restaurant is nice and affordable. One hotdog was satisfying for me. View all feedback.
What Berenice Runolfsson doesn't like about Boston Hot Dog Company:
This place does not have pizza. I am not sure why it is stated in the name as it is false. BUT they do have a handful of different Field Roast sausages to choose from. I was very dissapointed in seeing them microwave my last order there instead of using the grill. I love the Mexican chipotle, spinach, and italian sausage flavors. View all feedback.
Small light live hot dogs...not bad! but you might have starved after we got the chicago dog.
Great location and price. menu has its own option called the mutt for only five dollars, and I was pleasantly surprised that they did not charge to replace a veggie dog. they can also replace a veggie dog for everything on the menu. I'm pretty sure it's not vegan.
As of summer 2020, this restaurant is under new ownership and has not yet reopened due to COVID-19. Before closing, they slightly increased prices for their Veggie options, which include at least six different veggie dogs available at any time. They offer Lightlife Smart Dogs as their main veggie option and have removed other veggie replacement options from the menu. It is disappointing that the once environmentally friendly place did not take into account these accommodations under the new ownership. The Veggie options can be customized to be vegan by substituting Veggiewurst and using oil on the rolls instead of butter. The Chicago or New York style dogs are always amazing and can be made vegan upon request.
I checked them after the gym of a day and they have a great selection of hot dog styles and will vegan with a lot of vegan sausages. the person who worked there was very knowledgeable and accommodating in terms of vegan options.
