What Amber K dislikes about Settler:
Pretty restaurant. The food was fine. The service wasn't great at all. My friend and I were essentially ignored half the time. We ordered a bottle of wine and a few items to share. The bottle of wine took over 30 minutes to come out, as well as the bread for the cheese plate. We ended up essentially ordering through the food runners/manager ? as we didn't end up seeing the waitress again until we closed out. Without... View all feedback.
I went here while on vacation and the experience was beyond amazing. The manager Chuck reached out to me personally when I asked on an online forum for upscale restaurant recommendations and I was treated so warmly from that moment on. My servers (one employee was training another at the time) were both incredibly helpful and so knowledgeable about the food, offering recommendations and insights beyond the usual Yeah the chicken 's good here you get at most places. Everything I had from starter to dessert was fantastic and the whipped ricotta is truly something my dreams are made of. I 'm from outside NYC and Settler is 200 miles from me, but honestly, might be worth the trip for a repeat visit.
Settler is the best restaurant on the North Shore. We had an incredible experience. It was absolutely gorgeous inside, and the lighting was perfect. I knew the service was going to be top notch when our server brought us tiny jars of lavender lemonade to cleanse our palates when we first sat down! The wine list was top notch, and our sever knew everything about the wines and where they came from. They weren’t just typical wines we could tell they had been picked by an expert. And they paired exceptionally well with our dinner! The food was incredible! The Muhammara dip was fantastic the spices were so fresh. We also loved the burrata! It had peaches and prosciutto that were incredible on top of our grilled sourdough bread. The texture of the hummus was so rich, and the lamb added a perfect flavor to the dish. We also ordered the pasta and pork chops both perfect in taste and presentation. I can’t recommend enough! We had the dreamiest evening! Truly a gem of the North Shore.
Honestly, this is THE best restaurant in the greater Salem area. FULL STOP.The service is so good on all levels. Professional, informed, responsive and ridiculously friendly.Food: Farm to Table at its very best (all courses).Atmosphere: small but really inviting. If you DON’t like great farm to table food, great wine and spectacular service, you should stay away. Otherwise, book your reservation ASAP.

Top place to eat in Salem. We went here after reading several great reviews and it surely was what everybody was saying. The food was incredible. My wife and I had the muscles and burratta for appetizers both were packed with flavor and very fresh. Forentrées we had the chitarra and bucatini. The chitarra was had a great depth of flavor and a nice kick of heat and my wife’sbucatini the bolognese was super rich and made the dish! Cause they were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions with noissue! Would highly recommend anyone coming to Salem to try them out!
