Halyards - Saint Simons Island

All we had on Halyards was excellent, and everything else on the menu we didn't order looked just as attractive. We experienced an excellent service (thanks to Carol) and generally had a very pleasant dinner. Dave the owner makes a wonderful job from start to finish; unique menu options, the local source and high quality (you can try it), a beautiful setting and a staff that takes care of the customers. Thank you and we? will definitely be back when we return to St. Simons.

I had a fantastic meal complemented by outstanding service. I can't quite recall my server's name—maybe it was Carol? She mentioned she had been working there for 15 years. We waited at our table for a few minutes before she came over and enthusiastically declared, "You're my table now!" Everything was delicious. It was a great occasion to dress up. Even the guests at the bar in their high-top shoes probably shared a glance at each other!

Just had a great dinner here. Menu is a touch light, but the quality of each plate at the table was amazing, so more things do less big than more things mediocre. The food outside was very nice also in the heat thanks to all the shadows and fans. Service by Derrick was great along with the rest of the staff. The pot stickers were a special hit from the appetizer side and the Flounder was a very unique and tasty entree. All stayed very full and satisfied.

Excellent kitchen. Had the Southern Fried Chicken, sitting on Pimento Cheese Grits w/spinach, who had a butter-hot sauce glaze. Very good stuff. Our party also had Short Ribs Dinner, the Korean Ramen Noodle Dinner, Korean-style salmon, and the Seared Yellow Fin Tuna all prepared for a very high quality. Iced tea was on the spot. The service was excellent from two different servers. Dessert was delicious. A sophisticated and comfortable atmosphere for a great culinary experience. Recommend this place by visiting St. Simons Island.

I've been here plenty of times and have always really enjoyed it. Servers have always been nice and never seemed pretentious. Some upscale places are rude or assuming about young customers. The food is always good, good service, good drinks, etc. Compared to other upscale spots around, like Dorothy's, I think they have great portions for food and drinks at their price point (which I would say isn't too much at all for what you get). I had a great experience for my anniversary. Carol served us and she was super nice. They didn't disappoint on any aspect of the experience. I definitely recommend!
