I was recommend... read more The atmosphere at Thae Z Bar was fantastic, with low lighting, pleasant background music, and a choice of seating inside or on the heated patio. I was recommended this restaurant by the Holiday Inn where I was staying, and received a free appetizer as a bonus. The spinach artichoke dip and pita chips were hot, delicious, and plentiful. However, the cleanliness of one of the appetizer plates was questionable, but the waitress quickly replaced it when we pointed it out. I ordered the bourbon burger cooked medium with loaded mashed potatoes, both of which were cooked to perfection and very tasty. The loaded mashed potatoes did not meet my expectations, but my wife's Hawaiian pizza and friend's bacon burger with fries were excellent. Overall, it was a good and relaxing experience after a long drive. The restrooms were clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus in my book. The location was convenient to our hotel, and the atmosphere was relaxing.

The appetizers, drinks and meals were execptional! My wife had a drink called the Refresher. It had blue curaco and rum topped with pineapple juice. Very delicious! We each had a different sandwich and all of them were incredible. Service was top notch from when we walked thru the door until we left. Outstanding staff!! Ambiance wasn't quite a strength though. There was music softly playing in the restuarant very pleasing. But combined with the karaoke pounding from right outside the patio and a waitress singing along when she came in and out.... wayyyy too much for a comfortable meal. Oh, one last note on the food. We ordered cheesecake to go. What we got was the most creative and amazing dessert I've had. Huge kudos!!! We'll be back the next time we pass through, but probably closer to lunch to avoid karaoke.
