McDonald's - Saint John

Slow service. Order placeed at 11:37Did not receive simple order until 11:47.Fries were cold. I hope they read these and do something about it. A sign at the RESTAURANT said there was a survey to fill out on the receipt. There was none.Order #05kf318911

Entering the McDonald’s, you are invited by an employee to approach one of several large interactive video screens where you are assisted though the steps to place your order. It is really quite user friendly and we caught on quickly. You pay at the video screen “kiosk” where you order and are give a number which you can then monitor the progress of your meal. While the kids play in the indoor play park, you can sit and await the arrival of your order. The lady who assisted us to order offered to bring us our food and I must say the entire experience was a game changer from previous McDonald experiences. Quite a pleasant encounter I must say.

This location has been extremely busy each time I have visited it. A couple of days ago we got small grilled chicken wraps here, dining "in". The food was served in around 7-8 minutes, and the drive thru was clearly very busy. The taste seemed a little off and I guess that's because mine seemed undercooked. They seemed even small for a snack wrap in terms of size and content - this might be because they were grilled, not crispy. To be clear and fair to McDonalds we had no ill effects afterwards. I would recommend that when ordering wraps or breakfast burritos at McDonalds, (anything that was chilled and being microwaved) ask for them to be heated a little extra to be extra safe. I hope management here reads this and encourages staff to make sure to heat food adequately before serving. It has to be heated adequately, no matter how busy it gets. Disappointed as it was so busy and we had no time to hang around and reorder, but I want to give credit and say thanks for the friendly staff at the checkout.

I visited this Mac Donalds on Sunday Oct. 16th, 2016 and have to say, it has to be the worst restaurant in Saint John. We ordered two coffee, one black, the other decaf with two milk, two egg mc muffins and 2 potato patties. We waited in excess of 35 to 40 min for our order and observed several people trying to get their delivered orders corrected and in many cases, gave up and went back to their tables in frustration or walked out of the restaurant. One gentlemen whose order was on the counter for approx 15 to 20 minutes while waiting for his coffee, told the Manager everything that was still on the counter would be cold so a new order would be required. One of the orders on the counter was mine and it had the wrong pick-up number on it. When I received it, I found I had two sausage mc Muffins instead of egg mc Muffins. When I received our coffees, both had 3 milk and three sugar in them. We complained to the Manager, a young lady, she just shrugged and made no effort to apologize for the terrible service. The waiting area for food was packed and yet they continued taking more orders adding to the confusion. My wife and I, gave up in frustration and left the restaurant and when I arrived home, I immediately went on the Mac Donalds website to complain and gave the story as reported here. They asked for my phone number and email address which I supplied and they also asked on the website if I would like a call back and I said yes. Well it has now been 9 days since my visit and complaint and I have heard nothing from anyone at Mac Donalds regarding the terrible service offered by this location. Needless to say, we won't be back.

A couple weeks ago I went to this McDonald's location, my husband and I each got a meal. We got home to find we only had one burger, FOUR fries, 2 pop and 11 straws.. we immediately called and they offered to give us a free nugget meal (the missed item) next time we went. We just left McDonald's to claim our free nugget meal and got a second meal for myself. They forgot the second burger yet again.. They never fail to disappoint. Also, no sweet and sour sauce that was ordered with my nuggets.
