I've been quite a few times, each time trying something different. From the sushi to the soup meal to the grilled section, everything is very good. I cannot tell you much about the desserts as I don't eat them. I would recommend for a business lunch, family get together or just a couples night out. I've been at lunch as well as dinner. Highly recommend Sakura Chi for its quality of food, ambiance and top service. Bring your own wine when dinning in. Best resto in the area in my opinion.
After reading many reviews, I too find this restaurant to be satisfactory. It offers good value for money, so don't expect anything too extravagant. Despite this, they have a wide selection on their menu with options ranging from salmon to yellowtail tuna. The sushi is delicious and the fish is fresh. Although I rated it three stars, it doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it. I would happily return when in the North Shore and in the mood for Japanese/Asian fusion cuisine.
My husband and I made a reservation for Friday night at this restaurant. However, we ended up waiting for almost an hour without being served any food. The only thing we received was green tea. It was frustrating that no one even acknowledged our presence. To make matters worse, a table that arrived after us got their food before us. In the end, we decided to leave money on the table and go elsewhere. I had ordered a seaweed salad, which should not have taken so long to prepare. It was a huge disappointment that the restaurant did not take care of its customers, regardless of how busy they were.
