Description

Traditions, a cozy local eatery specializing in classic American-Italian cuisine, offers a mixed dining experience. While many patrons rave about the homemade Italian bread and hearty portions, others find the pasta dishes lacking in authenticity and flavor. The atmosphere can get cramped and noisy, especially on weekends, leading to mixed feelings about comfort. Service is generally friendly, though some diners have encountered delays and unwelcoming hosts. Highlights include dishes like lasagna and chicken marsala, though some visitors feel they can create better meals at home. Despite the inconsistencies, it remains a popular spot for a casual night out.

Our experience at Traditions Italian restaurant was a standout during our three-day visit to Old Orchard Beach. We stumbled upon this gem through a Google map search. The host greeted guests warmly, maintained the bar area impeccably, and always had a smile on his face. Our waitress was also exceptional - efficient and with a great sense of humor. In the kitchen, staff were busy polishing silverware and glasses, showing their dedication to providing top-notch service. The eggplant and veal parmesan were scrumptious, and the Chianti was a perfect complement. Despite its small size, the restaurant had a cozy atmosphere and every table was occupied on a Wednesday night. We will definitely be returning to this spot when we visit OOB again.

I absolutely adore this charming little eatery. Due to its size, I recommend going either early or late to secure a table. The chicken cacciatore is absolutely exquisite.

I love coming to this place. It's a cozy Italian restaurant that is consistently busy and serves delicious food. Every dish I've tried has been fantastic. There were a couple of times when my pasta was a bit watery because it wasn't drained properly, but my dining companion didn't have that issue. He ordered linguini while I opted for angel hair, so I'm not sure if the type of pasta made a difference. This happened more than once, but I hope they can fix this issue because their sauce is really tasty otherwise. Despite this, I will still keep going back and would recommend this restaurant to others.

We went to this restaurant with my family. The person at reception told us that it was busy and that there was a 25 minute wait but that we had to wait outside and not in the entrance. She wasn't very friendly. She took down my name and the number of people. After more than 25 minutes of waiting, I came back inside and the person at reception had given our table to another family who had just arrived. There was no way to get another table. The person was really not friendly and the restaurant smelled very strongly of fish. We left very angry without having eaten.
