I recently stayed at this hotel as a home base for visiting Flamingo Land. It is a hidden gem with incredibly friendly owners and staff. The hotel has a charming bar that serves delicious food at reasonable prices. It is only a 20-minute drive to York, which was very convenient. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. I would definitely stay here again. View all feedback.
What Stephen Norman doesn't like about The Wentworth Arms:
Did not feel welcome at all. Very cold reception from bar staff. Enquired about a meal, but staff coldly offered 2 tables 1 at the bar or 1 by the door, not interested at all. Definitely will not visit again. It's a shame because from the outside, it looks beautiful and welcoming. View all feedback.
This charming pub has a wonderful British atmosphere. The staff, especially the bartender, were very friendly and helpful. I had a great time chatting and joking around with them.
The food is very good well priced and staff are friendly. The drink prices good value too. Room 6 and hallway are looking a bit tired in places
Really good value 2 course lunch. Fish goujons and pork belly as starters, both tasty and pies for main which were lovely. Attentive and friendly staff, we were sitting outside and they didn't forget about us, which is always a good sign. Would recommend. Thank you.
I stayed for 2 nights my room was lovely and very warm x staff are very welcoming and the food is amazing well worth a visit
Visited for a family get together just after Christmas. Service was great and the staff were really friendly. Food was delicious, great value for money and generous portions. Everyone had a lovely time :
