Until today I thought as well that this place is one of the best sushi places in the Ajax/Pickeribg area. But today I had to change my opinion drastically. In the past I was allowed to change the Maki Special. Today I was told this...is not possible. I have to take to different rolls, having 2 California Rolls is not possible. We have frequented this restaurant multiple times and each visit has been consistently enjoyable. The sushi is always fresh and the rolls are delicious. The service is friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is inviting and cozy.
Sakura is a hidden gem of a restaurant. Instead of opting for the all-you-can-eat option, we decided to try their a la carte menu and we were not disappointed. The food at Sakura is incredibly fresh and high-quality, with generous portions. The service was super friendly and the atmosphere was calm and inviting. If you're in the mood for great Japanese food in Pickering, Sakura is the place to go.
The sushi at this restaurant is terrific. Service was friendly but a bit understaffed the one gentleman couldn't quite keep up with the demand. The side dishes were decent but not quite as good as the actual seafood. Overall good experience and great value.
Thanks to trip advisor we found this place. there is a absentness of sushi restaurants that are not ayce in durham region. I was so glad to find this place. they are proud to eat. sashimi is very fresh and service is great.
Always fresh, fast and friendly service. We love the sushi and sashimi boat. It comes with salad and soup and your choice of roll. Good value for money.
