Reviews - Trio's Dining Ruston
Reviews summary
Nestled in a vibrant locale, this restaurant boasts a modern ambiance and friendly service, making it a notable dining destination. While the atmosphere is consistently praised, diners have experienced mixed results with the food quality. Standout dishes include the Trio of Hummus appetizer and shrimp etouffee, while some offerings, like the fish and brunch menu, have led to disappointment over pricing and portion sizes. Overall, the establishment excels in creating an inviting environment and providing attentive service, though diners may want to choose their dishes wisely to ensure a satisfying meal experience.

We made reservations and was seated. We ordered two drinks from the bar and sat and waited for another 20 minutes the waitress came and apologized and said the bartender does not work well under pressure. The restaurant was only halfway occupied and thebartender spent the entire 20 minutes talking to different people at the bar. He may have made two drinks, and when I called thewaitress over to my table she apologized and said she totally understood while we would leave so we left and drove to Monroe toeat at the warehouse. I will never go back.
Best restaurant in Ruston. So glad we discovered this gem. The hostess/waitress, Scarlet was excellent. She took pride in every aspect of the restaurant and it showed. The atmosphere was perfect and nice background music. The food was superb as well asthe drink menu. We were a group of 3 visiting from out of town. We had an appetizer, entrees, cocktails, and desserts. There wasnot one bad thing about our experience. Unfortunately, I discovered the restaurant on my last day there. My parents, however, may be in town for another week. I would not be surprised if they went back every day of there stay. They are looking forward totheir Sunday Brunch. Thank you for a top notch experience!
The waiters tend to forget what they had to do, like give drinks other than water, I’ve had to remind them constantly. The water tastes like very not clean water. But the surroundings are good, and my burger was red and to me I don’t like my burgerslike that.
Sat 7/16/22 My husband and I were one of 4 tables at 1:00 pm afternoon. One hostess, one waitress and 2 bartenders and our food took 55 minutes. One cheeseburger with fries fries were frozen bagged) one spaghetti with 2 small meatballs that would NOThave filled one cup measuring cup, with 2 sweet teas... 36 with tip. Both meals were portioned as kid sized meals on largeplates. Will not return.

My group and I were seated for quite a while before the waitress came by and it seemed she might have been too busy to take care of us. The drinks were good and the ambiance was good, but the pastry platter was lack luster and felt like Walmart rolls to me. I was excited to try this place. We were seated right away by the hostess who said someone would be right.with us.... We sat there for 30 minutes and weren't even acknowledged, so we left. Including us,, there were three small groups there. I would hate to see how it is when they are busy. After reading the reviews, I'm glad we left. Service: Dine in Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I attended my niece's graduation dinner at Trios Dining Restaurant, where I had high hopes based on recommendations. Regrettably, my experience turned out to be quite disappointing. We arrived at 1:30 PM, excited about our reservation on the outdoor patio equipped with heaters. However, due to the chilly weather, we requested our server, Jackson, to turn them on, only to be told by the unnamed hostess that they were not functioning. When I asked if she had informed my sister, the graduate's mother, she replied no. I then asked for the manager's availability, which she confirmed, and led me to the bar, where Collin was preparing drinks. When I inquired if he was the manager, he simply asked how he could assist. I raised my concerns about the broken heaters and the lack of communication. Although we were eventually moved inside, which was a welcome change, Jackson excelled in his service despite the circumstances. He took our drink orders and promptly returned with waters, teas, and soft drinks. However, my husband's beer took an astonishing 20 minutes to arrive. When I checked in with the hostess about its status, she took another 10 minutes to return, explaining they had to search for it in the back. Jackson continued to impress us with his attentiveness, but we experienced significant delays with our food orders. With a party of 40, I understand that challenges arise, yet our reservation was at 1:30 PM, and most of our meals didn't arrive until 3:30 PM. When I asked Jackson about the delay, he apologized and assured us they were working on it. I approached Collin again regarding the slow service, but he seemed indifferent, asking what I wanted him to do and offering a discount. While I appreciated the gesture, my primary concern was the service quality, not the cost. After our discussion, I canceled my order since most of our party had received their meals except for mine and my husband's. Returning to my seat, Jackson later informed us that they had burned my husband's pizza and were remaking it. Shortly after, he returned with the news that they were out of pizza crust. How could they not be aware of this before claiming to remake the pizza? This pointed to poor communication from the kitchen staff. Collin later approached our table and, rather unhelpfully, stated that he was just a front-end manager and didn't know how to resolve our issues. He offered a discount, which I declined. I requested the owner's contact information, but he didn't have it. I then asked to speak with the kitchen manager, which led me to LA, who addressed the situation directly and professionally. He apologized for the pizza issue and the delays in serving our food, offering to make my husband anything from the menu as compensation for the mistakes made. Not once did Collin apologize for any of the issues we faced. When I asked LA for the owner's name, he provided it, which was reassuring. I believe that Google reviews play a crucial role in informing owners about customer experiences. Collin's lack of concern in addressing customer complaints did not reflect strong leadership qualities, which impacted the rest of the staff. Terrible ownership/management. Take your money to a place like Beau Vines with exceptional service and smiling faces while little Ms. Jenifer works on her attitude.
Hair in my food asked for the entire order to be replaced… would not replaced the meal. Spent 100.00 to eat hair

The Abita Shrimp Pasta is not worth $29. The spaghetti and meatballs had no sauce and the total bill came out to $96.
The kitchen at this restaurant was very disappointing as they sent out two burnt pizzas. They did not offer to discount the bill for the poor quality. Additionally, charging $14 for an espresso martini seems excessive, especially in a place like Ruston and not a city like NYC.
I would advise to watch your bill carefully at Trio's. Make sure to ask for prices on any extra charges or substitutions. In our case, I was charged a service fee even though I did not eat, making the table a party of 6. Additionally, they overcharged for drinks, including charging for 4 martinis at $7 each instead of the normal $14 for 2. They also split a 2 for 1 specialty drink deal between two tickets, no longer making it a deal. When we tried to ask questions for clarification, we were told we were being rude and upset the waitress. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to Trio's.
Food was excellent. We ordered the Tuna Nachos for the Appetizer and the Duck Club and the Braised Beef Grilled Cheese for our meal. Why the 4 stars?Tuna Nachos were about half the size they should have been for the price. There was also a huge backlog of orders and it ended up being there for 2 hours. We will definitely go there again when in Ruston.

While in Ruston for the peach festival, we stumbled upon Trios restaurant. After browsing their menu, we decided to dine there before heading to the festival. My wife ordered the black chicken quesadilla and I tried the Trio burger. Although the burger was nothing out of the ordinary, my wife absolutely loved her dish. She even mentioned that if we ever find ourselves in Ruston again, we will definitely be eating at Trios.
I gave 3 stars bc the atmosphere was great, very modern and clean. the waiter was very friendly and courteous the drinks were really good. I order a margarita and it was in front of the place, eating on the other side was not so great. the best we ate was the appetizer. (the baked feta) I ordered the crooked grouper it was so fish I couldn't eat it. my man ordered the garnelen andouille pasta, the garnelen was good, but the pasta sauce had no taste at all.
We brought our guests from out of town to this restaurant multiple times in one week for both lunch and dinner. It's nice to have a more upscale dining option, with an atmosphere that is a welcome departure from what you would typically find in a small town. However, the food quality was inconsistent. The steak and sides were fantastic, but the bread items were disappointing. The tortillas for the tacos were stale, as were the pita for the gyros, and the pizza crust was inedible. The menu prices are too high considering the variability in food quality.
Olivia w was our waitress and she did a great job! Eating was in order, but the service was amazing and made the experience.
Have been here once for dinner and it was great. Came again for lunch on Sunday and they only had a brunch menu which was extremely overpriced. One waffle with skimpy fruit and a broken up granola bar is $13. But the menu says “trios waffles” plural. Every dish comes with potatoes which is not mentioned on the menue so we were under the impression all sides were extra. They were also out of breakfast burgers and it’s $2 extra to add cheese. I was also brought the wrong omelette. Once I got my correct omelette with my surprise potatoes, I enjoyed my meal, but it is clear that the brunch menue needs to be edited and a single waffle should not cost $13. We will not be returning for brunch.
