Coles Grill - Ruston
Coles Grill
Description
Coles is a welcoming neighborhood tavern serving affordable, well-made pub fare—standout burgers, fried items, salads and decent chowder—paired with craft cocktails and cheap tallboys. Staff are friendly and attentive, and the lively, casual atmosphere features outdoor seating, TVs, trivia nights and event hosting. Minor downsides include occasional slow service, kitchen mix-ups, an inconsistent eggs Benedict, sporadic table cleanliness and limited parking. Overall, it’s a good-value local spot ideal for groups, casual dinners and watching games.

Food was quick, Devin was a great bartender, and I appreciate him letting my dog hang out inside on a quiet Tuesday night. Good vibes if you just want to be alone, as well. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Fish Tacos
Quick stop. Drink and a salad. 100 percent what you expect you pay for. It wasn’t gourmet but it fed me and it was affordable. Something lots of bars and restaurants are forgetting lately is value. Fair priced meal and a well poured drink Cole’s delivered on atmosphere and value. For that I’m grateful. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Overall, I like Coles. I tried the eggs bennie recently though, and, wow, that piece of ham was as thin as a piece of paper. And the hollandaise, I am quite sure, was made from a Knorr hollandaise package. So it was ok. The service was awesome. Other breakfast items there offer more value maybe they can step things up a little with the eggs benedict. : Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
