Contribute FeedbackAt The Squirrel, patrons can find a vibrant atmosphere complemented by friendly and attentive staff. While the restaurant offers a range of appealing vegetarian and vegan dishes, availability can be inconsistent, particularly during busy hours. Diners have reported long wait times for food and occasional disappointments, such as undercooked items. Despite these setbacks, many guests appreciate the overall value and quality, especially during special occasions like Christmas dinners. With a lively ambience featuring sports on TV and a solid selection of beverages, The Squirrel remains a promising destination for those seeking casual dining experiences.
The booking was good and one of the staff was very friendly. However, literally all vegan options were not available on Saturday night at 7 o'clock so we bought drinks, but with nothing to eat, we had to go. they just had a big party in, maybe that's the reason why. but I doubt it, worse still, they accused us of the drinks, even though they don't drink them. (I drove and therefore wanted my drink with my meal and not alone)
This pub was loud with screaming children, large TV screens and game machines. in the night we have all vegan options were not available as they were busy. So we had a drink and left. we will not return.
I would give this place a 5-star rating if I could. the vegan options were very nice my favorites were the chip shop croquettes and the louisiana chick’n burger. the staff was very nice and attentive for us and eating came out quickly. the only negatiw is that this pub is something above the price for what it is.
Beautiful pub with a decent vegan series of netzen and start. the burger was very nice (less nice at a second visit, although a bit dry and a wait of over 40 minutes) and Beetroot/Cheese tart looked good. the vegan dessert offer was bad with just one option. the chocolate torte was delicious, but it was a scandal that no vegan ice was available to replace the milcheis.
My boyfriend and I went for Sunday brunch and were really pleased with the vegetarian and vegan options (he was looking specifically for a vegetarian Sunday roast and was happy to find one I especially appreciated that they labeled the items that contained almonds (and not just nuts), since I’m allergic to them. It was pretty busy, unsurprisingly, and the wait for our food was -really- long. They told us that it would be about 40 minutes, but it ended up being over an hour. The food was pretty good when it finally arrived, but the portions weren’t very big. I think we would go back and try it again, but probably at a different time of day.
