Very disappointing Sunday Lunch! Overpriced and underwhelming . My family I waited along time about 50 minutes, had to prompt the waitress for our food, not particularly busy , I’ve been to a lot busier pubs around the country and been served quicker . It came cold and tasteless . Tiny roast potatoes (cold) sirloin of beef cold , gravy tasteless , cauliflower cheese awful . We usually feel nice driving home after a meal out . We felt sick . We’ll probably not return for food again . Definitely not award winning .

My husband and I went to the Wheatsheaf in Bingham on the 11th December for a birthday meal. The food was excellent as was the service. A really lovely place, which we will use more of. Thank you to the staff who looked after us last night and also to the chef who did my seabass to perfection

Unfortunately my experience wasnt as good as before Christmas when the food was faultless. This time I ordered beef casserole which was far too rich and dominated by red wine. The meat was cheap and chewy and clearly hadnt been cooked for long enough. The sticky toffee pudding was bland and without enough sauce. Tea was served in a basic teapot which leaked everywhere. Restaurant was cold and bar wasnt much better with no fires lit. Not sure I would rush to go back. A shame considering I enjoyed the last meal.

We dined in the restaurant last night 7pm, walk in, we were informed that they were busy and there would be a wait for food, we were not in a rush, only three tables full in the dinning room but we could see the bar was busy. We do understand, but while other tables were served and interacted with, we did not receive even basic customer service, we had to ask for our order to be taken, ask for drinks and ask for condiments, which were dumped on the table without comment or even a glance, or acknowledgment when we said thank you. We were made to feel like an imposition and not made welcome or valued as customers. Suffice to say we will not be visiting again.
