This Chinese restaurant in Nottingham is simply the best. I have been a loyal customer for years and the quality of the food is always superb, and at very reasonable prices. The staff are wonderful, attentive, and always greet us with cheer and humor. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Chinese cuisine. View all feedback.
What Barry Robinson doesn't like about Charde Oriental:
I recently had a birthday dinner at this restaurant and it was a total disappointment. It took 2 hours to receive our food, which consisted of bland, hard buns and tasteless meals. We were charged almost £30 for 2 main dishes and 2 servings of rice. The owner even put his finger in my drink while I was waiting for a refill, which was quite off-putting. When the food was finally brought to the table, the owner placed... View all feedback.
In this restaurant for family celebration, the quality of eating is very poor and small portions, the wait between each curs is a sweat, we were there 3 1/2 hours, and then they refused to share the bill for us, but if we insisted that they. overload us £30 for drinks that man, think they, he was the manager, we were not making it very rude. so they don't treat customers who have just spent over £300!
We decided to go to this restaurant on a whim for my wife's birthday, without making a reservation beforehand. The staff was incredibly welcoming and the service was fantastic. The menu was good and the food was delicious.
Quite easily one of if not THE worst Chinese take away I’ve ever eaten in my life. Tough, dry, overcooked meat, swimming in a red salty oil that I presume was supposed to be a sauce? Unpleasant would be the best word to describe the...food. Goes without saying we will never be ordering from here again. So disappointed. I would give this a zero rating but there is no option.
Note takeaway so cannot comment on the restaurant or the service there. Seemed mixed quality. Takeaway arrived a bit later than Just Eat promised, but that was not a big issue. Sesame prawn toast was very nice – best I’ve ever had King...fried prawns with mixed vegetables superb, although a little pricey for the amount you get. Some of the chicken balls in batter seemed over cooked – like they’d been done earlier and recooked. Sweet and sour sauce however was one of the best we have had Chicken chow mein was not really warm enough, and went cold before I finished it.
I'm so disappointed to say I won't be ordering from here again. 3 weeks in a row we've had something missing or wrong in our order. Week 1 our wonton were missed, week 2 chips were missing and now today we were sent vegetarian mixed...hors deourves instead of normal. They are always receptive to send out a replacement but it always takes 20-30 mins by that time the rest of the food is cold, or we are full. Such a shame because the food is delicious but we are constantly out of pocket and disappointed by the service.
