This place is truly one of a kind. I recommend visiting for the experience itself. While I wasn't a fan of the food, I must admit my unfamiliarity with West African cuisine played a role. The "plaza" where it's located is an experience in its own right, reminiscent of some hidden gems I've encountered in the Caribbean. As for the restaurant, it's a cramped room no larger than 10x10, where a laid-back gentleman lounged in an easy chair, casually talking on the phone. He was very friendly and polite, even showing me into the kitchen, which was quite modest with just four metal cafeteria serving trays featuring cassava leaf, cray cray, and two types of rice. He offered me a taste of everything, but be careful as the dishes contained pieces of chicken with bones. When he asked if I wanted to dine in, I didn't see any seating available, so I opted to pay (make sure to bring cash, by the way) and left. The visit was worthwhile for the experience alone. I can't definitively judge the food, as I have nothing to compare it to. While I’m glad I went, I probably wouldn’t return, especially since I don’t live in Boston.
