As soon as... read more We decided to have dinner at Vaughans while we were staying in Roundstone. After a long and rainy day in Inishbofin, we were cold, tired, and hungry. As soon as we walked in, we felt a relaxing atmosphere and the smell of freshly cooked food was so inviting. The staff member who greeted us was delightful. Even though we don't eat seafood, there was plenty of other options for us. My partner had lamb chops and I had chicken curry. The food was fresh and beautifully presented. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and the prices were very reasonable. I treated myself to banoffee pie for dessert, which was delicious. Overall, a great experience.

The menu is extensive and offers something for everyone. The scallops and black pudding starter and monkfish main are personal favorites. The views are stunning and add to the overall experience. With a wide selection of wines and delicious food at affordable prices, Vaughan's is a must-visit when in Roundstone. The pub food is also a great option for casual dining and is child-friendly. The fish goujons, open crab sandwich, and chowder are particularly excellent choices!

All the seafood we had was absolutely fresh. We had one of the best meals in Ireland at Vaughans and very reasonably priced. Friendly staff, great service even during the busiest evening time. For the restaurant, during the summer season reserve 3+ weeks in advance. If you can't get to the restaurant, the bar menu is excellet! Had the fish of the day, hake, it was delicious!

The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, and the service is impeccable. The menu is beautiful, with crab claws and duck salad that were simply delicious. The rack of lamb was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the scallops and turbot in orange butter were equally delightful. Definitely worth the visit, and I will be returning. You can tell a lot of care goes into the food without overwhelming the flavors—the fresh ingredients truly shine through with thoughtful preparation. The staff were excellent as well. Well done!

The fish chowder, howev... read more The fish was delicious, but the fries were a letdown. I’d much rather have a small serving of homemade fries than a bowl of frozen ones. The fish chowder, however, was outstanding. I’ll definitely return, though I’d prefer a baked potato over frozen fries next time.
