Contribute FeedbackDespite a mix of reviews, Beola restaurant offers a simple menu with good food quality but some inconsistencies. Some found dishes delicious, like the mussels and lamb shank, while others were disappointed by overcooked scallops and tough chicken. Portion sizes were mixed, but the friendly service was noted. Additionally, the lack of availability of some menu items and the small menu selection were drawbacks. Overall, Beola provides decent food in a friendly atmosphere, but it may not be the most memorable dining experience for everyone.
Fantastic location, excellent drinks, and extremely attentive staff!
This was likely the best meal we had during our time in Ireland. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend it if you're looking for something a notch above the typical goujons and curry!
I had high hopes for this restaurant after reading some positive reviews, but my visit fell short of expectations. When we arrived, the door was closed, which set a less-than-ideal tone. My partner really liked the chowder, and we both tried the mussels as an appetizer. While the portion was on the smaller side, they were quite flavorful. My salmon main course was good, but the sauce lacked seasoning, and the scallops were overcooked. My partner's fish and chips were acceptable. However, it appeared that several items on the menu were already sold out by the time other guests arrived. To top it off, the staff could have been more attentive to the diners.
I cannot recommend this restaurant unless you like having low-quality gravy drizzled over an overcooked frozen steak, served with bland potatoes and salad. It was the worst meal I've ever had in my country.
I don't usually review unless to compliment a restaurant, but in this case, I'm afraid it's the opposite.we ordered soup and steaks, my soup was spilled down the side of the bowl, which I was willing to overlook, but it was only warm, I had...to go looking for a spoon and also bread. We ordered medium steaks, my husband's was thinner than mine and was cooked fine, mine was very rare, I quietly asked for it to be put back on the pan for a minute or after a while, a new steak (very small) was brought out to me, so over cooked, I couldn't eat it! Oh, and the'sauce' was poured over the whole dinner, even the salad, it tasted like something between oxtail soup and gravy. Dessert was nice, but waitresses failed to bring the coffee we ordered with it.(we did eventually get it) I heard a fellow diner ask why she had been given salad instead of the vegetables stated on the menu, the waitress returned from the kitchen quite red-faced, with the explanation, by vegetables, they mean salad It's a lovely airy clean restaurant, but big improvements are needed.
