And judging from the weekend crowds it draws patrons from throughout central Texas. Mandito’s popularity was evident as we drove in from La Grange TX; the porch setting was inviting so we joined others in dining al fresco. Warmly greeted, promptly seated and the service was excellent as was the meal. This is not what I consider traditional Tex Mex, but still very tasty. Our server offered to take payment for the meal check; however I noted the QR code and scanned with my iPhone. Quick and easy with Apple Pay providing an email copy of the check/payment. First time experience with this technology! Added to the overall satisfaction rating for Mandito’s.

The tortillas where great but what shines are the chips and salsa, both are amazing. The only reason I give 4 insted of five is that I can get a comparable quality and taste meal for half the prices. Still it was very enjoyable. Thank you for the good food and pleasant service.

The tortilla soup is als... read more I like their tortilla chips, but I’d say the salsa is just so so. I do like their ceviche. It has a good tartness and the fish is firm. The tortilla soup is also so so. They are definitely on the expensive side. I had a $34.50 lunch ceviche, cup of tortilla soup, and a glass of tea.
