While reports highlight a selection of delectable dishes and generous portions, service consistency remains a concern. Patrons have enjoyed exceptional meals, such as king prawn purée and various curries, praising the authentic flavors and attentive staff. However, some have faced long waits, incorrect orders, and a lackluster dining environment that detracts from the otherwise promising experience. As Ashoka navigates its identity amidst changing ownership, it beckons both loyal fans and new visitors to savor its offerings while hoping for enhanced service quality in the future.
My experience in ashoka was an silvester and when I arrived it was busy to do! that was waiting a little too long, but acceptable for a restaurant in such a busy night. I was also able to make a booking on the same day, which was practical. I personally the decor could have been asian authentic, but ashoka did a good work to create a modern British feeling at the place. the chairs had high backs that were very comfortable. Drinks were favourable and generous. I ordered ahun chili masala, made by the owner and chef himself, which was delicious and made a nice change from a regular masala - the portions were huge and I took my home in a dog bag!with, main meal (without included) and naan brot it came to p.person. that really helped.
Love it. ashoka has amazing employees who are always awake. also their very friendly side. I can nowhere else find what a better curry can serve as it, her garlauch naan and pila reis is to die. the sections are very large. that's not a problem for me, it's worth the money. I can take the rest away and it has for my tee the next day and it is still amazing.

Fabarooney. I think alan pickups taste buds must have left him for the evening when he went, either that or any other deep hats of Asian restaurants blows on the surface. anyway, with my review. the ashoka is my new Asian restaurant, the portions are huge, the prices are more than reasonable, the personal is so friendly and professional, I would particularly recommend the mixed tandoori shashlik, a must for meat lovers! the ashoka operates a faithful card system that knocks out another 20% from the food bill, the cards are free to ask and are valid for living, and can only be used between Sunday and Thursday....Read more
