There are not many great dining options in Rosseau, but this restaurant is a hidden gem. Our server, Amy, was fantastic and made the evening flow seamlessly. The food was outstanding, from the perfectly cooked pork chop to the veal chop and fresh ingredients. Overall, it was an excellent experience. Make sure to book a reservation in advance as they tend to get busy. View all feedback.
What Ewald O'Kon doesn't like about Crossroads Restaurant:
My wife's salmon salad was okay and my fish & chips were cooked well though rather lacking in flavor. What surprised us was when the bill came and I found that we had spent $17.85 on iced tea. Maybe we should have been leery when beverages were neither listed nor priced on the menu but $17.85 for three glasses of iced tea is well beyond fairly priced. View all feedback.
Love this cottage country stand out the ambience is welcoming and the flowers are incredible 12 months of the year the food is good with only a few infrequent misses one of our favs when we are at the cottage
Make a reservation LONG in advance. This place is hard to get into, but it's worth it. The appetizers looked so good, I had 2! I had the Crispy Shrimp and veggie spring rolls were excellent. Good portions. Staff are friendly and attentive. Great for groups. This place is beautiful no matter where you sit!
Great food service and entertainment. Dog friendly Great atmosphere Good wine list and cocktails. Could improve beer menu. German beers
I can't explain it , but you know you have come to a special place from the moment you walk into Crossroads restaurant. The view is lovely and the atmosphere unassuming and cottage comfortable. Service was attentive and leisurely and then there is the food.... Thé cocktails are exquisite the Cesar comes dressed with almost a full appetizer dressing it up. The menu stretches its boundaries from grass fed Beef to Georgian pickerel and east to PEI oysters. Every plate showed attention to detail and care to use only the finest ingredients. The perfect end to a day in Muskoka.
We had an amazing lunch at this restaurant! We visited on the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend just before noon (it opens at 11:30). The entire menu looked amazing, making it a tough choice, but we decided on the smoked trout salad ($17) with quail eggs, apple, potato, asparagus, and pickled onions, as well as the brisket sandwich on marble rye bread with maple mustard and a side salad. Everything was delicious, and the service was fantastic. By the time we left around 1pm, the place was packed! We would love to come back for dinner sometime, but I've heard that reservations are recommended. Definitely worth a visit - check it out if you're in the area!
