We stopped here for lunch on our way home from the JW Marriott. We wished we had gone here for all our meals during our week long visit. The service is great and the food is delicious. They have a great kids menu. The prices are way more reasonable than the JW Marriott in terms of value for your money. Take the short 15-20 minute drive to Rosseau to enjoy a break from the JW Marriott restaurant scene and prices.

This evening we went to the Crossroads for my birthday dinner. Although not a special birthday it was made to feel like it was.We were a party of five served by the wonderful Alana. She was attentive and catered to all our needs. She looked after one of our party who only wished for a fruit mix for desert. She went out of her way to provide us an excellent service.I had the Smoked Manitoulin Trout to start which was tremendous. I had the veal chop from the butcher’s choice part of the menu, it came perfectly prepared. As I said earlier, it was my birthday and I often stick to a liquid desert. Our group all ordered a desert. On delivery of the desert they had been arranged on a board with chocolate piping of “Happy Birthday” and even threw in a piece of coconut cream pie for me.The service at Crossroads, from calling to book the table to the front of house staff to Alana was perfect as always. We were in Crossroads last week for lunch and you must try the Rosseau Burger and the fries are to die for.Previously we have enjoyed a few different choices from the menu at Crossroads, they have the best Cesar Salad north of the GTA.On the whole, our group have cottages on the Muskoka Lakes and we all agree YOU HAVE TO EAT HERE….Once again thank you to the management, bar staff, chefs and kitchen staff and to Alana for her excellent service, a well oiled Muskokan team.

Met friends here for lunch. Had a nice table out on the verandah, lovely breeze blowing in through the screens. Loved the fresh sunflowers on the tables and the lavender sprigs in the bathroom. We shared some fresh cut fries for an appetizer with the yummy aoli. I had the cucumber soup which was refreshing and different. I also had the special which was described as a "chicken burrito" served with rice and beans, and really was a wrap grilled with chicken, beans and rice inside it, and served with more fresh cut fries. A bit disappointing, even though it tasted good, I was expecting something different, and also would have appreciated being asked about whether I wanted a different side.

Make a reservation LONG in advance. This place is hard to get into, but it's worth it. The appetizers looked so good, I had 2! I had the Crispy Shrimp and veggie spring rolls were excellent. Good portions. Staff are friendly and attentive. Great for groups. This place is beautiful no matter where you sit!
