What Valerie Doyle likes about 5th Earl Rosebery:
Straight off the plane from NZ at 9.00am on a busy Saturday morning in December (10) we found an easy park in front.Situated in the Saporium in Rosebery, this cafe has a wide selection of dishes. Friendly and efficient staff and great poached eggs on sourdough. Highly recommend. View all feedback. What Catharine Beier doesn't like about 5th Earl Rosebery:
The service. We have eaten here many times in the past but it appears success has come at the expense of customer service.Waited to be seated, whilst other people in the queue behind us were offered seating all while there were numerous tables free. The younger male host seemed more interested in entertaining the young lady patrons than providing any level of service.Food is generally average and has lost its authenti... read moreThe reviews for this restaurant indicate a range of experiences. Some customers have noted issues with customer service, slow seating, and average food quality, with a stagnant menu that has not evolved over time. Others have enjoyed the large portion sizes, good coffee, and quick service. Despite the hype, some found the prices overrated compared to nearby cafes. Dishes were criticized for looking better than they tasted, with some being too oily or having strong flavors. However, the cafe's wide selection, efficient staff, and tasty poached eggs on sourdough drew positive recommendations. Overall, the restaurant seems to have mixed reviews but has potential for a satisfying dining experience.
