Wow. Totally unexpected gem. Hidden away on a backstreet is central Oregon’s best. Great ambiance. Prompt customer focused staff and great food. We had the mushroom ravioli and the crab cakes with shrimp. Both excellent. Dakota tells me that the seafood is locally sourced. We finished the meal with brownies and ice cream and marion berry crisp. This is a place you need to experience. View all feedback.
What Reem Jaz doesn't like about Side Door Cafe And Eden Hall In L:
I usually don 't leave a review or comment about any place I visit, only a generous tip and appreciate our waitresses. Last night we my family of 10 celebrating bday) had very unpleasant, rude and bad experience at this place from the attitude of the manager on duty that asked my brother 's family with an infant) to keep quiet and if not then they have to leave! We my family) all left and will never return to that pl... View all feedback.
We had the lingcod special on Friday night. It was crummy. Considering it 's a local catch, whoever was in the kitchen mangled it, served it under a flavorless sauce on a plate that was haphazardly adorned with stringy, poorly seared pea pods (the waitress said vegetable medley and some fried potatoes that were on a par with Dairy Queen, but much saltier (we asked the waitress to bring ketchup, and if the lingcod hadn 't been so crummy it might have been Friday night at Mel 's Diner . The dish was poorly created and ridiculously executed. We 've been going to Side Door for over a decade. This was the first crummy meal. It can 't be easy to find someone who can cook, out here on the coast. But you might easily find a cook of this caliber or better in any radiator shop in east Portland. That it was a Labor Day weekend Friday night, the reservations weren 't hard to make less than a week ahead of the event. That might have been a clue. And the place didn 't seem packed. The meal, such as it came, was way overpriced. Hoping that a lackluster cook will carry you through until you find find better will end up costing you customers. It cost you this one.

Amazing food so much, so it made 5 stars for service and atmosphere! : I had halibut with some creamy crab sauce and roasted veggies. Drinks are also good the blueberry lemon drop was great.
This place is top notch. Great seafood. Great steaks and a wine list to satisfy all wine lovers. Let them know of your birthday or anniversary and they write a welcome message to you on the sidewalk as you enter. They treat you like family. I love this place!!
The food here is exquisite. On my last two dining experiences here, I have had the Chargrilled Salmon Salad, the Halibut, the Bouillabaise, and a couple of the desserts. The wine selections, predominantly local, are very good. Everything was exceptional! The atmosphere is cozy and creatively lit, the service was top notch, and the decor was artful without being kitschy or contrived. We look forward to our next opportunity to eat here.
