How wonderful it is when your ex... read more REVIEW OF RUBY KINGS From the moment we entered the restaurant we knew we may be in for something truly special, if not unique. How wonderful it is when your expectations are met, and dare I say, even exceeded. This is what happened to my partner-in-time and I one rainy night in Roscommon, Ireland upon entering RUBY KINGS. From the restaurant’s ambiance—which was boldly elegant—to the presentation of each dish we ordered, superb would be an understatement. And then there was the food. Mmmmmm. We ordered duck spring rolls and two different soups as appetizers, which we shared. Both soups had us wanting more. Our main dishes were Scallops for me and for my spouse a Seafood Combination Plate. Like with the soups we both tasted each other’s choice. As a result we both unabashedly stated that the next time we visited RUBY KINGS we would each order what we only tasted from each other’s plate our first visit but weren’t smart enough to have ordered that time. And lastly, the service was exquisite. Having worked my way through university as a Server, I’m predisposed to being somewhat critical of service that is lacking. Conversely I fully recognize when it accentuates an already superb meal. Our server, Elly, did just that. We highly recommend RUBY KINGS to anyone wanting a first-class dining experience at reasonable prices. Don’t be surprised if you run into us there as well. We have added it to our—got-to-eat-there at least a couple- -few times a month, at minimum—list.

I find the food here is better than my local takeaway (different place).
