Kfc - Rome
Kfc
Description
A neighborhood fast-food spot earns praise for standout fries, a customizable $20 bucket and an occasionally excellent coleslaw, offering good value for families and groups. However, experiences vary: service can be friendly and efficient or inattentive, with slow waits, missing items and a brusque manager reported. Food quality is inconsistent—hot and delicious at times, dry or overcooked at others—and cleanliness and order accuracy need improvement. Regulars return for signature items despite mixed service.

I went threw drive thru and place my order. 2 piece chicken meal and a 5piece chicken tender big box meal. Paid 23.10 just to get over cooked chicken and dried up hard biscuits. I called and spoke with Brian the manager, he seemed bother that I called. Didn't suggest anything until I said something to him. He told me to come back tomorrow between 12 and 5pm. The manager needs more training in customer service on how to treat customer. I won't go there ever again!
The man who was working tonight (1/17/24) was very nice and understanding, should be a manager!! Have a goodnight
Manager was very rude raising his voice complaining he was the only one working. Order was to be picked up at 245 when I arrived at kfc it was 245 .The order had not been started and I was told by manager he was alone and it would be a couple minutes then the manager went and took a car order and filled it then manager again took another car order and I reminded him that my pick up time was 245 it was 3 pm there was also another customer at the counter waiting to place an order at this point manager again raised his voice hollering at me again saying he is the only one working I explained I understand that but why are you taking and filling new orders when people are waiting for an order placed an hour ago .I did not check the bag when I left and I absolutely was robbed I did not receive the 8 chicken tenders I payed for I also received only 4 biscuits was soposed to be 6 and I am not exaggerating the biscuits were very hard you could not even cut them in half with a knife the completely crumbled .
I used to work at KFC in Rome and was one of the few employees who genuinely cared about the job. Unfortunately, many of the managers do not share this commitment and show little concern for the business. The cooking oil is often black, and it seems the managers don’t prioritize whether the tasks are completed properly. The cooks are overwhelmed and don’t have time to clean because they are busy with undesirable tasks that nobody wants to handle. Some managers refuse to lend a hand, and if you raise any concerns, they often speak to you disrespectfully. I was wrongfully terminated after I refused to tolerate disrespect from another manager who treated me poorly and made my work environment incredibly challenging while they spent their time on their phones. They also show no regard for employee health; if someone is ill, they still expect you to work around food. When I sought help, not a single person stepped up, and after contacting HR, I received no response for two weeks. My advice? Avoid eating there. They don’t prioritize cleanliness, even when some managers do try their best; the higher-ups often take credit for efforts they did not contribute to. Employees are treated with little respect, and it ends up being a waste of money.
