Above al... read more Found this place by chance while on a business trip. Although it is far from the centre, the service and quality of produce is of the higher standards. Above all, the chefs have impressed us with their seafood starters...truly delicious...followed by a superb main and second course. Excellent wine selection and ‘grappa’ too. The owners are incredibly kind and professional we were really looked after. Highly recommended!

As the only customers in the restaurant, we were lucky we booked ahead otherwise I am sure it may not have been open. Nothing was too much from our attentive waiter who arrived with a glass of proseco and a very tasty appetiser. Our choices of seared squid and tuna tartare were exceptional in their freshness and presentation. The mains of roast duck and cod with grilled broccoli were also of a very high standard and plated to a very high level of professionalism. Our wine was very nice and the wine list was quite extensive for such a small venue. At the end of dinner the staff and family sang happy birthday to my wife, thanks to some earlier organising by our hosts, and presented her with a torte that was to die for. I would definitely return again and would encourage anyone in Rome to book and make the short trip to this outstanding restaurant next to the Via Appia Antica.

However the focus was on the food, every course, from the salmon starter, the tasters, the superb Tuna and the exceptional sweet was a taste sensation with only the finest ingredients evident and masterfully raised to the next level in flavour experience. Perhaps one of the finest dining experiences in Rome. I strongly commend the discerning traveller to take the 20 minute journey from the centre to this restaurant it is well worth the journey and the pricing for this level of cuisine is very reasonable circa €60 per head for 3 courses each and drinks now that's good value in my opinion.

There were not many places to eat and there was a home made wooden sign that said Food with an arrow. We thought we would go. This was on via degli Eugenii. It was about 1/4 mile walk and we thought we were going nowhere when we came to a tennis club. It looked like they just had a small snack bar. When we when inside in the back was the most amazing restaurant. It was beautiful! Not at all expected. They had Wi-Fi and the owners were eating there and greeted us personally.
