Very good food nice waiter and good prices
I’ve been here a few times. Although it is pricey. The food to me was always pretty tasty. I can see why people don’t feel that they are kind to foreigners, but I personally never let that get in the way of me getting a good meal. I like the food overall. In particular the Buffalo mozzarella and Parma ham. They say it’s from Campinha region, but who truly knows. I enjoy the different pastas normally and I like the Montepulciano that they serve. This recent visit is what prompted my 3 stars although I feel I am being graceful by not giving 2. But that is because I normally enjoy the overpriced pasta here and didn’t let that stop me from coming back. I had ordered a steak dish, medium rare, and it had potatoes and a side of salad. Halfway through eating it, I saw an entire insect, properly cooked, on its back mixed in the potatoes. I was so shocked, but I made no scene… Nor did I have the mindset to take a picture out of shock. They promptly took both of our plates up. Apologized. I asked for water, and another glass of wine! I needed it after not knowing if I ate another bug that I didn’t order intentionally! They offered me another one. I kindly declined and let them know that I’m aware that things happen. After about 10 minutes, I got out of my head and asked for a small potion of just some pasta. They charged us for everything and I paid and left. I do think that things happen, but it doesn’t take away the shock of the creature who lost its life because of my order.
