Sideways - Rockwall

This was our first visit to the restaurant, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The only downside was the wait for the bartender to serve us another beer. Our waitress mentioned several times that she was waiting on the bartender, and there were mistakes with our orders. I had ordered pickled jalapeño peppers with sausage and chopped brisket, while my granddaughter received a chopped brisket sandwich. Although our side dishes were correct, the sandwiches were wrong, and unfortunately, my granddaughter couldn't eat hers because it was too spicy for her. Given the relatively high prices, I'm uncertain if we'll return, but the food itself was excellent. I'm leaning towards another visit, though perhaps not when it's so crowded. I would recommend this place to others because the atmosphere is fantastic; you can enjoy a beautiful view of the lake.

We finally got the chance to dine at Sideways, and I can't believe we waited so long! Everything—from the service to the food—was absolutely fantastic. We felt the prices were very reasonable, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Without a doubt, it's my favorite restaurant in Rockwall County!

We all thoroughly enjoyed the Texas BBQ. The atmosphere was lively and fun, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The appetizers, including the fried pickles and fried cauliflower, were delicious. The side dishes of mac and cheese and potatoes were also very tasty. The brisket was absolutely outstanding!

Came here to celebrate a birthday lunch. The beer was cold unfortunately I don't like my food like I like my beer. All the food was cold I don't know if they were trying to bring it out all at once but that backfired. I have to thank the waitress for going the extra mile and offering to swap the food. Some of us did some of us just ate was a party of 10. Want to thank the waitress Raigen T her attitude and her great service managed to save our experience here. Was the only reason 4 stars . Overall great place

Always a good time at this place. Live music all the time, although not always the genre that you might prefer. But atmosphere always feels right and the food is awesome.
