Kyoto Japanese Steakhouse Rockwall

We had a party for me and we have seven, reserved a table online with ease. We got seated immediately when we arrived I waited for the cook which is normal. Our server however was brand new, was not accompanied by anybody more knowledgeable of the menu, could not tell us what was in the sushi rolls, Or what kind of wine they have. It left us rolling our eyes. That part of her experience could have been much better. The cook was excellent, very engaging with each member of our party. The food was cooked perfectly except for the chicken, which was dry and over done. Within our party we have steak, shrimp, scallops, and chicken. Surprisingly the chicken was the weakest protein in this mix. We had fun, and it was a good special occasion experience. I’m not so sure I would go there for and everything meal. Our ticket for seven people which included two kids under the age of six for $300.

Celebrated a birthday dinner with family. The service and food was great. it was a busy night but the staff was very attentive.

We had a confirmed reservation for 5:30, but was not seated until 6, although there were 3 empty grill tables in plain view. Our waitress took our order, then we did not see her again until she delivered our bill, we had to get up twice and request a drink refill from a passing staff member. Food was not great, extremely disappointed!

The presentation by the person doing the cooking was just OK. Service and setting were good but food was not very good.

We really enjoy Kyoto in Rockwall, and our Christmas evening visit was no different! The staff was great from the moment we arrived until we walked out the door. Our Chef was very energetic, playful, and fun. We were there with 3 adults and two little ones and everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
