The cheeseburger was good, but the lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles seemed like they had been left out for too long. They weren't fresh when I dined with my family. However, the service was excellent. View all feedback.
What George Bell doesn't like about Joe Willy's:
It can be a greasy spoon type of grill. The burgers aren't bad but they aren't great. They do have good shakes, at least my daughter sand wife have told me. They have lots of choices for sodas as well as fountain drinks. The fries are good but somewere soggy. I would eat there again but probably wouldn't make a special trip. View all feedback.
This restaurant keeps it simple and delivers. It is a no-nonsense place with delicious burgers, fries, onion rings, and milkshakes.
In July 2024, I returned to town for another event and decided to have lunch at this restaurant. There have been no changes since my last visit last year, and probably none since it opened in the 1980s. The burgers and fries are still great. We ordered the 1/3 burger with cheese and added our own toppings. The restaurant is popular with state law enforcement; two DPS troopers and 4 Texas Rangers were having lunch during our visit. During my first visit in 2023, I felt like I had traveled back in time to the 1980s when the restaurant first opened. The experience left a great first impression. We had planned to have lunch in Rockwall before heading to another event and chose this place based on online reviews. It turned out to be a wise decision. The walls were decorated with lots of photos of happy friends, families, and kids enjoying good food. I recommend sticking with the burger and fries, and you won't be disappointed. You can customize your burger with lettuce, pickles, onions, and more. If you have room for dessert, try the cookie or ice cream. There is plenty of parking available on weekdays, but it may be crowded on weekends.
The Philly cheese steak was delicious and the grandkids loved their burgers and milkshakes. The service was fast and friendly, the atmosphere was cozy, and the prices were reasonable. Overall, it was a pleasant dinner for everyone.
This restaurant is great for families and serves delicious traditional American food. The atmosphere is reminiscent of classic burger joints from the Midwest. The staff is very friendly. As someone from the Midwest, it feels like a taste of home. I highly recommend it!
