Project MEX - ROCKHAMPTON CITY

My wife and I visited Project Mex last night and thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. We both ordered different meals and were very happy with the presentation and taste. The staff where friendly and were very attentive. Well done.

First time to visit this resturant and it did not disappoint at all. Such yummy food and friendly staff, I highly recommend for singles, couples or groups.

Took my wife here for a sample of the Mexican style meals. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Flavoursome, mostly good portion sizes in relation to price. Reasonable selection of Mexican beers and various cocktails to accompany the meals. Not a quiet place to dine however. A single largish room, which seems to be very noisy when it's busy. We couldn't hear the waitress, and vice versa at one stage. Bathrooms were pretty dodgy with leaking cistern in male toilet semi repaired with sealant. Wife reported issues in female loo too. Friendly, attentive wait staff, good for groups and families also. Not a place for a quiet romantic evening when we went.

I started with a key lime martini (my new fav) and it set the tone. The pork belly was not only the best Mexican bit the best pork belly I have had. This is what I have been wanting from Mexican that tex/mex could never deliver. And from Rocky - who would have thought?

My wife and I have been here twice, this week, it was so good the first time we had to make sure it was as good as we thought, it was, there was not one thing to complain about.The staff were friendly and efficient, very busy but still very polite. This place is very busy but the staff keep up brilliantly.The food is so good you just have to keep eating until you have finished the very generous serves, we saw several customers taking home doggy bags, the prices were reasonable and great value considering the quality and quantity.We had Fajitas twice, a project plate (a combo of three dishes) and Guacamole, all were perfect, very tasty, and comments from other diners were very positive.The menu include a lot of Gluten Free and Dairy Free choices and options.AND when you are leaving the management shows appreciation for your patronage.
