This place has the absolute best pizza we have ever tasted.Wood fired pizza oven that provides a one of a kind of taste .we have had wood fired pizza before but none can compare to the flavor this place provides .the staff is friendly ,service is spot onand extremely clean restaurant .we live a couple of hours away and head straight to this restaurant every time we visit the area.
I 've walked by this spot multiple times during my week long visit here in Roanoke. Everyone kept telling me it 's a go to spot out here ... so I waited until Friday night to give it a shot and let me tell you it was not what I would expect from a bar insmall city like Roanoke, VA. I walked up and some guy wearing a Grey polo said, You can 't get in with those pants ... he readoff the description of what is allowed in the club and stated, I don 't care if you 're the president, I wouldn 't let you in theclub if you break any of those rules. Trying to be cordial I explained, I 'm not from around here, I just wanted to pop in andwrite a quite review of the spot ... and he stated, I don 't care ... like I said said if you 're the president, I wouldn 't letyou in here. I had high expectations for this place, but I guess it 's on to the next city tomorrow! ... Peace out Roanoke, VAyou haven 't been much fun!
This was my first and LAST time visiting Corned Beef. Initially, the experience was great. After 30-45 minutes, our party arrived and we decided to sit near the dance floor. Again, no issues up until the bouncer or security for Corned Beef, thatpatrols the area I assume requested that I remove my beanie. I complied but after observing 5-6 individuals that also had onbeanies or skull caps, I placed my hat back on. After passing our table twice, the same guy requested I remove my beanie again.I politely asked, ?I understand the rule but I have counted 5-6 people wearing hats after your initial request and you have yetto request them to remove their hat.? He became very rude, utilitizing profanity and said if I could point them out, he wouldask them the same question. I interjected and questioned if he was using that language with me. I then proceeded to request thathe gets the manager and have the explain the policy to me. The manager came after 15-20 minutes and explained how it?s not rulefrom him, but the owners. I understood the rule but when asked why have I been here for 45 minutes or more and no one requestedthat of me at the beginning. He could not provide a response and refused to acknowledge the security?s behavior or rudeness. There was no issue with the request but the management and staff?s approach was very aggressive, demanding, and distasteful tosay the least. I refuse to provide my business to a company that does not appreciate OUR support or at least have staff thatpossesses common decency and respect for their customers. Hopefully, no one has or will experience the disgusting behavior wedid!
I was out with a group of about 25 people. I had only purchased one drink from this establishment and tried to have some fun dancing. I guess dancing in a crowded room means you can?t be there because they escorted me out. When I asked what I had donethey stated that I was ?too drunk? to be there. I have no idea why they escorted me out but I was perfectly coherent as any oneif my 25 friends could attest to. When my husband asked why, the woman who walked me out stated ?she was running into people onthe way out and that?s all we need?. I had only had one beer and I remember the entire thing and I definitely did not run intoanyone. The staff was very rude. I was compliant as to not cause an issue. And we all went elsewhere to spend our money. Anyonethat saw the situation saw that it was undeserving and wrong but the other places of Downtown Roanoke got our money andservices. Corned Beef is ridiculously unprofessional and trashy. If you want to have a good Saturday night I do not recommendtrying there.
