Although they weren't offering Hibachi in the dining area during our visit, we still had a great experience. The waitstaff was extremely friendly. I definitely plan to return to sample the impressive variety of sushi that we saw being prepared fresh.

The server was very courteous and did a gr... read more Went to Akira around 11:30am when they open. I was greeted by a very nice hostess/server who brought us to our table. The server was very courteous and did a great job answering any questions I had. I ordered a chicken katsu bento box and gyoza. First we were given miso soup which had tons of flavor and was a perfect portion. Next the gyoza came out and they were they were definitely fresh and filled with flavor. Our bento boxes finally arrived and we were impressed by the presentation as we have had bento boxes from other places before and this fit right in. The chicken katsu was some of the best chicken I’ve ever had. The sauce for the chicken was the perfect amount of bitter/sweet which hit the spot. I substituted my California roll for a sweet potato roll which they had no issues doing and all I can say is wow. I’ve never tasted a sweet potato roll like the one I had here. The flavor was amazing and the sweet potato was crispy. Overall it was a great experience and I’d recommend anyone that hasn’t tried a bento box stop by akira and give it a try! We definitely will be back.

Her warmth and attentiveness made the takeout experience feel personalized and special. As I eagerly opened the takeout containers, the enticing aromas filled the air, promising a feast of authentic Japanese flavors. The hibachi chicken dish was a genuine masterpiece—tender, perfectly grilled chicken paired with a delicious mix of noodles, rice, vegetables, miso soup, and a refreshing ginger salad. The chef’s skill was evident in every bite, with flavors coming together to create a mouthwatering experience. It felt as though I had a private hibachi performance right in my own home. I was also impressed by the attention to detail in the takeout packaging. Akira’s dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience shines through in every aspect of their service. I extend my compliments to the chef and commend Anna for her outstanding customer service.
